Sifat Bin Jibon called most projects at the Bangladesh AI Business Summit “AI slop”. In a Facebook post on the morning of 6 November, he wrote that about 90% had simply bolted on a chatbot as an “AI feature”, and asked whether anyone had calculated why the software needed AI.

As an example, he mentioned HR management software that, he said, added eight AI chats for $3. He also wrote that some founders, afraid of being copied, would not explain their product once they realised his team was technical.
He did see two or three interesting projects and some strong revenue-generating products. Adding a chatbot was never a solution, he wrote. These are his personal observations.
