More than 90,000 entrepreneurs across Bangladesh have received cyber hygiene training through the CyberReady project, implemented by The Asia Foundation and SAJIDA Foundation under the APAC Cybersecurity Fund.

Running from July 2024 to November 2026, the initiative used online and offline sessions to raise awareness of digital security risks among micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

At the project’s closing event in Dhaka, speakers said phishing, account breaches and fraudulent transactions threaten small businesses, can disrupt livelihoods and undermine trust in the digital economy.

They called for cyber hygiene to become a continuous part of financial and digital literacy programmes instead of being limited to short-term initiatives.
